Xoomer Xpress Team:

 

Got #146 for the 2011 season as a used boat from Mamaroneck, New York (was unsuccessful in IRC there).  Adam won IRC division NA’s In Toronto first season, and for several years being “in the money” in IRC and other handicap regattas.  Only one other X-35 in Toronto, but no OD fleet, so the 2019 Worlds in Malmö will be challenging.

 

The Team:  skipper:  Adam, main trim: Eric, jib/spin trimmers: Sara and Iain, pit: Mehnaz, mast: Ion and foredeck: Matt.  The team sailed together for several years on Lake Ontario.

 

Adam started sailing in the late 50’s in dinghies, including several years in the 470, and many other keelboat classes, under MORC, IMS, IRC, PHRF handicapping systems, “Boat of the Year” title in PHRF and In IRC on Lake Ontario in different seasons and boats.  Xoomer Xpress was mentioned in the IRC Yearbook a few times (published by the Seahorse Magazine).

 

The team drink is ‘Dark and Stormy’, but will need some local help to find ginger beer in a Caribbean grocery store.  Don’t hesitate to visit the Canadian Xoomer Xpress team for a taste! – many will be hooked
